Why is this important?

The District manages one of the region’s largest portfolios of public facilities, approximately 200+ educational facilities and 16.6 million square feet of buildings that must remain safe, functional, and ready to support learning every day.

As schools and building systems age, roofs, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure require ongoing repair and replacement. Delaying this work can turn manageable needs into costly failures, disrupt school operations, and divert resources to emergency repairs.

Strategic, timely investment protects the community’s long-term investment in its schools, reduces the risk of unexpected failures, and helps ensure every campus remains a safe, reliable, and effective place to learn.
